Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This policy describes what data mimpi.io — operated by Kitamao LLC (Wyoming, USA) — collects, where it goes, and how to get it deleted. It is written to match how the service actually works.

1. Signing in with Kitamao ID

mimpi.io does not have its own passwords. You sign in through Kitamao ID, a single sign-on service operated by Kitamao. When you sign in, mimpi.io receives your Kitamao ID identifier, your name, and your email address, and stores them in your mimpi.io profile. Your sign-in session is kept in your browser and is not shared with third parties.

2. Prompts and generations

When you generate something, we store:

  • your prompt and generation settings (model, parameters);
  • song descriptions, style and lyrics you write for music generation;
  • images, audio files and voice recordings you upload or record as inputs;
  • the generated images, videos, songs and cover art themselves.

Generated media is stored in your private, server-side generation history so it is available across your devices. It is kept until you delete it — there is no automatic expiry. Your browser also keeps a local cache of your recent generations so the app opens instantly; clearing your browser storage removes that cache but not the server-side history.

3. Conversations

Conversations you have with mimpi.io — your messages, the model’s replies, and a small preview of any image you attach — are stored on our servers and linked to your account, so your history follows you between devices and survives clearing your browser.

Conversations used to be held only in your browser. When you next signed in after this change, any conversations already on your device were uploaded once to your account so they would stop disappearing when browser storage was cleared. That import runs a single time and does not repeat.

You can delete any conversation from the chat sidebar in the app, which removes it from our servers as well as your device. Deleting your account removes all of them. Pictures made in a conversation are also kept in your Gallery; delete them there to remove them too.

4. Smart Studio projects stay in your browser

Smart Studio projects — the canvases, layers, edit history and imported assets under Smart Studio — are an exception: they are stored only in your own browser, in local device storage. They are not uploaded to our servers, they do not sync between devices, and clearing your browser storage or using private browsing will permanently destroy them. Edits you make in Smart Studio stay inside the project in your browser — they are not added to your Gallery or your server-side history. Use Export PNG to keep a copy.

5. Where data is processed

Kitamao LLC uses a small number of specialist providers to run mimpi.io:

  • A managed database and media-storage provider — stores your profile, Spark balance and purchase ledger, your conversation history, your generation history, and the images, videos and songs you generate.
  • AI model hosting providers — run the image, video, music and language models. Your prompts, lyrics, generation settings, conversation text and any input images or audio are transmitted to them to produce your output. Our music model provider, reached through our separate music service, also produces and stores the songs, lyrics and cover art it makes for you.
  • Stripe — processes card payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach mimpi.io’s servers; we receive only a payment reference and status.

We will provide the current list of named providers on request — email support@mimpi.io.

Kitamao LLC is a US company, and your data may be processed in the United States and in other countries where these providers operate.

6. Training

mimpi.io does not use your prompts, your uploads, your conversations, or your generated content to train AI models. Model providers process your inputs to produce your generations under their own terms; if this position ever changes, this policy will be updated first and the change announced.

7. What is public

Everything you make is private by default. Your gallery, your conversations and your generation history are visible only to you. Nothing is published because you generated it.

You can choose to publish an individual image, video or song, which puts it on the public Explore page. What that means:

  • publishing is per-item and deliberate — you publish one image, video or song at a time, and you can unpublish it again from the same control;
  • a published item is visible to anyone, including people who are not signed in;
  • an image’s prompt is shown alongside it, anyone can download it, and anyone can use it as the starting point for their own generation (“Remix this”);
  • a video’s prompt is shown alongside it and anyone can download it, but a video cannot be remixed;
  • a song shows its title, cover art and lyrics; its style description is shown only if you leave “Show my prompt on Explore” on, and others can cover it (spending their own Sparks) or download the MP3 only if you turn on “Let others cover it”;
  • like counts and remix or cover counts are public on every published item;
  • if you have claimed a public username it is shown as attribution ("by @handle") on your published items, including any you published before claiming it; if you have not claimed one, no name or account identifier is attached;
  • your conversations and Smart Studio projects are never publishable, and nothing else in your account is exposed by publishing an item;
  • Explore also shows curated samples made by us — they are labelled as samples and are not user work.

Unpublishing removes an item from the Explore feed, using the same control you used to publish it. Copies that other people already downloaded or shared elsewhere are outside our control. We may also remove published content that breaks the Terms of Service.

8. Reports, featured examples and events

A few community features keep a small record against your account so they can work:

  • Reports. If you report something on Explore, we store which item it was, the reason you chose, any note you wrote (up to 500 characters) and when you sent it. We use it to review the item, to hide it automatically when several different people report it, and to stop one person filing large numbers of reports. The person whose work you report is not shown who reported it.
  • Featured examples. If you put a result forward, we store which result and which look or template it is for, your confirmation that you are 18 or older and that you consent to it being shown, when you gave it, and our decision, including any prize paid.
  • Event entries. If you enter an event, we store which event and which result you entered, your confirmation, the time, our review decision and, if you place, your ranking and prize.
  • Votes. If you vote in an event, we store which entries you voted for. Vote counts stay hidden until the results, and individual votes are never shown publicly. We use votes to shortlist entries and to spot voting from multiple accounts, and we check your account’s age and whether you have spent Sparks to decide if you can vote.

Featured examples and winning entries are shown publicly with your @username. A featured example needs a username, because the username is how it is credited. Other event entries are attributed like anything else you publish: by @username if you have claimed one. You can withdraw a featured example at any time, or an event entry while the event is still taking entries; it stops being shown, and we keep the record of it, marked as withdrawn. Prizes are paid in Sparks and appear in your Spark history.

These records are kept while your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account (see “Deleting your data” below), we delete your reports, featured submissions, event entries and votes too; we keep the Spark history we’re required to keep. To ask us about any of these records, email support@mimpi.io.

9. Cookies and browser storage

mimpi.io uses browser storage for your sign-in session, for the local cache described above, and for Smart Studio projects. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

10. Deleting your data

You can delete individual generations, your entire generation history, and individual conversations directly in the app — deleting removes them from our servers, not just your device. To delete your mimpi.io account and profile entirely, email support@mimpi.io from your account’s address and we will remove your profile, conversations, generation history, and stored media, subject to records we must keep for tax and accounting (for example, purchase ledgers). A copy of your songs, lyrics and cover art may remain with our music model provider, which produces and stores them. Your Kitamao ID account itself is managed by Kitamao ID and can be deleted there.
